Smart combinations for the perfect greenhouse climate
A garden center is anything but a standard greenhouse. You’re dealing with different climate zones, functions, and overall experience under one roof. That’s exactly what we can showcase with Project Germany (approx. 4,147 m²).
In collaboration with Saarlucon, we supplied all aluminium structures for this project. The real strength lies in the smart combination of our systems. No one-size-fits-all, but the right solution for each space.
Venlo combined with a Cabrio roof
For a large part of the garden center, a combination of 4 mm and 16 mm Venlo roof was chosen. This creates a strong balance between light transmission, insulation, and energy efficiency.
What makes this project particularly interesting is the addition of our Open roof system. This Cabrio roof solution provides maximum control over: Airflow, temperature and natural ventilation

Gable systems tailored to function
Not every area requires the same solution. That’s why a deliberate mix of gable systems was chosen:
- 4 mm gable system → for maximum light in cooler zones
- 16 mm gable system → better insulation where needed
- ISOL gable → used in warmer areas such as the restaurant, checkout zones, and the front elevation of the garden center
This combination ensures that each zone has the right climate, while the selected RAL color keeps the look uniform and visually appealing.
One project, multiple climate zones
What makes this project stand out is the variety of spaces, including plant and home décor sales areas, a restaurant, and checkout zones.
Cooler zones feature a more open design, while warmer areas benefit from additional insulation. The result: an optimal indoor climate in every zone, without unnecessary energy use.
